The Band Program at Colonial Forge thrives on student creativity and desire.  Our program features three concert bands, The Forge Sound and Guard, two Jazz Ensembles, Percussion Ensemble and numerous smaller chamber ensembles.  Instrumental ensembles at CFHS are award winning and most recently, our Marching Band was invited to perform for the Virginia Inaugural Parade in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Our instructional philosophy at Colonial Forge emphasizes creative, energetic, standards driven instruction which produces involved students and accomplished musicians.  Opportunities are abound at CFHS for band students of every level.  Freshman Band Students are enrolled in our Concert Band class.  This ensemble, team taught by Mr. Weaver and Mr. Loft focuses on creating a cohesive, multi-faceted concert band that performs throughout the year.  Students participate in District Band Festival and various events through out the year.  We strongly encourage all band students to join The Forge Sound and Guard, our award winning marching band.  You must be enrolled in a band class to participate.

There is a place for everyone in the bands at CFHS.  Students from our program continue to pursue music in many fields both in the community and at major universities around the country.  Be a part of our Eagle family with the Bands at Colonial Forge.

No, students may enroll with any level of experience.  Some instrument choices may be limited.
